The Company

  1. How does my purchase help others?

    Every time you purchase clothes, we give clothes. It's as simple as that.

    When you place your order, you start a chain of events. First, your order is processed and your clothes are shipped to you. Then, we set aside equivalent clothes to be donated to your chosen country/countries. If you buy two t-shirts, we'll give two t-shirts. If you buy four sweatshirts, we'll give four sweatshirts. On our next Clothes Drive, we will personally give those clothes to someone in need.

    So, your purchase directly gives to others. Pretty cool, huh?

  2. Do I have to purchase two?

    No. Think of our clothes as "buy one, get one free." Each item you buy is yours to keep. The "get one" item is given to someone in need around the world. Essentially, it's "buy one, GIVE one free."

  3. Is World Clothes Line a non-profit company?

    No. World Clothes Line is a for-profit company. Our philanthropic mission is simply a business model to help improve the world in which we live.

  4. Will you speak at my event?

    We would love to. Our founder, Mallory Brown, speaks for many organizations and schools. (She shows cool photos, too :)) If you have an event you'd like Mallory to attend, please contact us.

The Clothes

  1. Who makes your clothes?

    We work with our good friends at CreateMyTee.com to print designs on clothing from American Apparel, Bella, Canvas, and other manufacturers, all of which are sweatshop-free.

  2. Who designs your clothes?

    We do! Have a design idea? Send it our way.

  3. What clothes do you give away?

    We give away the same style of clothes that you purchase. When you purchase a t-shirt, we'll give away a new t-shirt. When you purchase a zip-up, hoodie, or crew neck sweatshirt, we'll give away a sweatshirt. And, when you purchase a pair of pants, we'll give away a new pair of pants.

    Donated clothes are functional for the recipients, respecting their culture and circumstances. The clothes are solid colors with no graphics or designs. Sizes are based on the needs of the recipients.

Clothing Deliveries

  1. How are the donated clothes delivered?

    A team of WCL associates will travel to our represented countries to hand-deliver clothes. These trips allow us to personally ensure the safe and heartfelt delivery of clothing to people in need around the world.

  2. How did you choose the countries?

    Each country has a specific importance to us. Check out our travel section for more details.

  3. Can I follow the delivery of my clothes?

    Yes. By joining a Tracking Club, you can be updated with photos, stories, and personal messages from those who receive your donated clothes!

    To join, simply check the appropriate box during your checkout process. A $10 fee will be added to your total. You will automatically track every item in your shopping cart, regardless of clothing type, style, or country. Updates will be sent via email when your clothes are delivered to someone in need. Please note, tracking only applies to clothes in your current purchase. If you want to track clothes you purchase in the future (hint, hint), you will need to join the tracking club again.

Ordering

  1. Placing an Order

    Orders can be placed online at www.WorldClothesLine.com or by phone at (248) 702-5925. You will receive an order confirmation number for your purchase. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing before your item is shipped.

  2. Payment Types

    World Clothes Line accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit cards...and, of course, our World Clothes Line Gift Cards.

  3. Order Change

    If you'd like to change your order after it is placed, please contact us immediately at (248) 702-5925. Once your order is shipped, we can no longer adjust your order.

  4. Sizing

    Unisex sizes run true to men's sizes, however their standard cut can be worn by both males and females. Fitted women's sizes are available in t-shirts. They tend to run small, so consider ordering a size bigger than you normally wear.

  5. Shipping/Handling

    We ship all orders through USPS Priority Mail. Shipping rates are determined by weight/distance and are calculated during checkout. Please allow 2-3 business days after processing for your package to arrive.

  6. Returns/Exchanges

    World Clothes Line accepts returns and exchanges within 30 days of purchase. We can only exchange/return unworn clothing. Because every purchase also produces donated clothes, after 30 days we consider all sales final.

    Customers are responsible for return shipping charges. We encourage you to secure a tracking for your return as WCL will not be responsible for any lost packages.

    Returns will be refunded for the full purchase price (minus original shipping/handling charges).

    Exchanges will be processed as quickly as possible. You will be charged for any difference in price from your original purchase. If exchanging for a new size, WCL will ship your replacement item(s) to you free of charge.

Gift Cards

  1. How do I use a gift card?

    It's simple! Just enter your gift card # and verification code during the online check out process. Your gift card balance will be applied toward your order total. If ordering over the phone, please inform us that you will be using a gift card.

    Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash. WCL gift cards never expire.

  2. Can I send a gift card to someone else?

    Yes! Many of our customers purchase gift cards and have them sent to someone as a gift. Simply enter the recipient's address for the shipping address.

  3. How is a gift card purchase matched?

    World Clothes Line only matches clothing purchases. Therefore, when the gift card is used to purchase clothes, we will match those clothes and donate them to people in need.
